Control speed of water in Splash Tank

I have been working on this for quite a while, have the shot looking like I want it to
expect the water looks like it has been “fast forwarded”.

I am sure I am missing something very obvious and have watched a lot of tutorials
and trawled this forum and odforce, is there a way to control the speed of the waves?

I am using Houdini FX 15

The settings on the ocean spectrum are:

Wind
Direction: 0
Speed: 1
Directional Bias: 1
Directional Movement: 0.5


Wave Amplitude
Reference Wind: 10

Seems like no matter what I do the waves move incredibly fast,
I am sure I am missing something simple here, any pointers or suggestions would be gratefully accepted

I thought I had a solution by editing the Time parameter on the wavetank node inside splashtank_initial.
I changed this to $T/3 and the water was slowed down when I viewed the ocean preview but when I rendered it, it looked completely different and not like water anymore

Rob,

I've Stripped it down to a camera and splashtank initial, should have done that from the start.
I have been testing a lot and can get slower waves but they are much bigger,
maybe this setup isnt intended for the the kind of look I was aiming for

Hi,
1 ) make sure when you make the video from QT you set the $FPS correctly , the default is 29FPS . If things are to fast sim 400 frames and then use time shift sop to slow down your waves. ie 400 frames to slow 50%

Good suggestion with the time shift, sim takes a few hours at 200 frames but will definitely test it out
