How do you blend 2 materials together base on point colour?
I have geometry that used blend attributes to combine to colours. I want to retain the graduation between these 2 colours to be the graduation between the 2 materials. I guess this is simple to do but don't know the tools to be able to achieve this in Houdini.

Can anyone help
Thanks

I might be wrong but could you use the color mix or mix nodes?

Colour mix? Will that mix between 2 materials?
Where do I find colour mix?

I see colour mix is in the shader its self. How can I blend between 2 different types of materials within a material?

You can look at this thread
https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/26947/?page=1#post-124364 [sidefx.com]

also there are few other as well if you search on the forums.

If you want to just grab attributes and mixed them I think the color mix should work.
If you have 2 different materials in SHOPs Im not 100% sure. There is not a blend material in Mantra as far as I know like in Vray, Redshift or others ….

Yes, the Vray blend material is what I normally use in max. Would be great to access attributes for the mix slot.
I'm surprised no one hasn't built one already.

I'll take a look.

Thanks for the help.
