shader ball?

Hi,
To experienced houdini shaders and texture artist out there, a question:
What is the usual workflow you guys use to quickly test shaders?

Why not shader ball?
C4D has one,
Maya Arnold has one.
3DS max has one.

I actually creted my own (will share later the HDA) but wanted to know what is your preferred workflow, maybe I am doing something very uneficiently.

Press TAB and type ‘ball’ and you'll get a shader ball.

The ‘Shader View; tab should be updated with the Shader Ball test geo. It’s pretty broken currently

I am actually wondering what is your preferred workflow. Just curious to see if there is some workflow that may be better than mine that I could adapt.
