Ramp Node Parameter Settings

How can I use ramp node itself, not the parent parameter settings?
Whenever I place a ramp node it seems to be taken over by the parameters added to the parent. I would like to simply use the ramp node wherever it is, using the gradient on the node itself rather than the parent. Tried the “use this node to set parameter attributes” checkbox (not sure if this is related) but it didn't answer my need.

Hi.
Yes you can solve this problem.
First select your ramp node and then press Shift + C to create subnet from selection.
Then go to that level where you see ramp and from gear icon at the top right of parameter editor panel select Edit Parameter Interface.
Find the ramp in Existing Parameters section and then select that.
From Parameter Description set the Scope option to Subnet Connector and finally accept changes.
Hope this helps.

Hmm, I thought I could jut have an option to use the ramp as-is — this is a solution but with much more steps than I expected

Normally how am I supposed to use multiple ramp parameter nodes? they seem to be controlled by the same gradient in the parent node.

Each ramp should has a unique Name parameter.
Otherwise you will encounter with some troubles.
Btw you can create a simple digital asset for this so you don't need to do all these steps for each individual ramp.
