Hey Guys,

Need to borrow your minds, what I've been trying to do is to have a FEM sim in Maya through Houdini Engine. But hit a wall… actually I'm not sure if it's possible at all.

Here I have a simple HDA which creates box, and sim it with FEM (simple gravity), I want to bring it to maya, press play and see falling cube.

Am I doing anything wrong? Or it's just impossible to do DOPs sim in Houdini Engine?

Any thoughts guys?

Thanks,

Mmm, I put the box and the autoDopNetwork in a subnet, and left the box object as the output - then it outputs the geo in Maya

After that I swapped the box primitive for an objectMerge and exported the object to the asset, then I can sim an input mesh from Maya. (guess I could just have used a subnet input as well)

Hey Juliap, can you maybe share a screen of file? I have a dops in subnet.
You just using object merge instead of box primitive or sub net input. I've tried this and still doesn't work, there is no geo output in maya.

Problem solved, it was an issue with houdini engine plugin version

Cheers,
