Need to borrow your minds, what I've been trying to do is to have a FEM sim in Maya through Houdini Engine. But hit a wall… actually I'm not sure if it's possible at all.
Here I have a simple HDA which creates box, and sim it with FEM (simple gravity), I want to bring it to maya, press play and see falling cube.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or it's just impossible to do DOPs sim in Houdini Engine?
Mmm, I put the box and the autoDopNetwork in a subnet, and left the box object as the output - then it outputs the geo in Maya
After that I swapped the box primitive for an objectMerge and exported the object to the asset, then I can sim an input mesh from Maya. (guess I could just have used a subnet input as well)
Hey Juliap, can you maybe share a screen of file? I have a dops in subnet. You just using object merge instead of box primitive or sub net input. I've tried this and still doesn't work, there is no geo output in maya.
