I have Houdini Apprentice 17.5. I found out that it is possible to import OSM data into Houdini. I tried to follow the tutorial at https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/osm-importer/ [www.sidefx.com] but I didn't get the right nodes. I'm supposed to:

drop in Geo Node
dive in, delete the file, and drop in OSM Import Node

After diving into Geo Node, I didn't get the File pane. I got two “empty” panes on the right side of the 3D window.

How can I fix the problem?

The File SOP node is no longer present in Geometry Object, you can easily addit from Tab menu or create File Object instead of Geometry object
However you want to add OSM Import node anyway, so just hit TAB and add OSM Import node (if you have GameDev toolset already installed)

I already have the GameDev toolset installed. When I try to drag the OSM Import Tool from the GameDev toolset shelf to the network pane, I get this:

I didn't know that I have to place the OSM Import Tool in the 3D world. I tried to follow the tutorial at https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/osm-importer/ [www.sidefx.com] but I can't read the text being entered into the “Group” text box. What should the text be?

@highway!=primary

which translate to: every prim whose @highway string attribute value is different ( != ) from the value ‘primary’

There is “sop_osm_buildings” but there is no “sop_osm_roads” node. Any suggestions?

I tried using the following nodes:

sop_mapbox_import
sop_osm_filter
sop_osm_buildings
convertline
sop_curve_sweep



I can't see the streets well.
