Is H9 going to be a Windows XP version, are do we have to change to Windows Vista ?

Houdini is based on OpenGL, (not DirectX), which means Houdini should continue to run fine on Windows 2000, Windows XP or Vista.


Companies that develop applications that are based on DirectX and wish to add support for DirectX 10 will require there users to use Vista.

Hi,

Regardless of version, Houdini will run under both XP & Vista. It will make lots of people unhappy if they have to switch to Vista in order to run Houdini.
