Hi,

After experiencing constant blue screen crashes after two clean installs of Windows 11, I wanted to test Rocky Linux, even I don't have any experience with any Linux.

I managed to install Launcher following this page:
https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/licensing/install_launcher.html [www.sidefx.com]

Only issue was that it was located on my Downloads folder. If I picked launcher from my options as followingChoose a directory to install to (default /opt/sidefx/launcher) it only made launcher folder inside Downloads folder.

I don't think it is good idea to keep it inside Downloads folder as when I tried to install Houdini, it was also located inside Downloads...

So my question is, where should I put it and how? Thank you so much for your help.

Best,
Juha

I was understanding it wrong. It was offering /opt/sidefx/launcher as default directory and not as opt or sidefx or launcher... Silly me.
