Hi,

I have been struggling with unstable Windows even after clean reinstall. Not sure what is going on. It works OK at first and then goes more unsteady. Sometimes opening Firefox will pop blue screen and in other cases GPU renderer trigger crash popping blue screen.

Sometimes even powering on my PC will get stuck and cannot find keyboard or screen...

Last year I tried Ubuntu. It ended because I didn't manage Wacom to work. This year during summer holidays I tried to install Rocky Linux. Installing Rocky Linux was easy, but then I couldn't install Houdini license even with help of SideFX support and also Nuke install ended inside Download folder... So after that I needed to go back to Windows 10 again and same issues continues.

Might be some hardware issue, maybe, but I have no idea where to start. I tried Windows memory diagnostic and all went well. So that's why I wanted to try Linux if this is all because of Windows, or maybe not... Just to make sure.

Anyone running Houdini and Nuke on Rocky Linux with Nvidia card? I was happy to know that Rocky Linux worked nicely with Wacom Cintiq last time so I need to solve 3 issues for starter.

1. Houdini license install.
2. Nuke install location so it wont install where it is downloaded. Not sure because there is no Program Files like Windows or Application folder like macOS.
3. Installing Nvidia driver so I can use GPU render.

If I get those installed and working, I think if PC has some hardware issue, it will eventually pop on Linux side also. If not, then I can move on and rock with Rocky Linux.

Thanks for your support.
