I am trying to simply render my viewport for quick sharing with team and clients. Houdini seems to have no good procedure for this (Flipbook cannot simply capture current frame)
I have been testing the "Flipbook" renderer but it seems to not function properly. When I try to match the view port settings it just renders black, no shadows, no colore. All these settings are enabled in the renderer. See attached image.
Very frustrating.
I just want a quick viewport screenshot. I know I can do print screen but I want to have a consistent image size determined by the camera.
Any advice is appreciated.

Second to last button on your left viewport toolbar is render flipbook, should be able to render your viewport with its current settings. From there you can output files as they are rendered, or you can wait and save them from the file menu in Mplay.
Thanks for the response. I am aware of the Flipbook button and workflow. Unfortunately its not optimal, I would like as I am working to have a single button to capture the scene window and save aan image automatically but unfortunately I cannot find a way of naming the files so they do not get overwritten, like a screenshot gets a timestamp in the filename. The flipbook as far as I understand can only do $F as a variable but thats not helpful as I would also need to move the timeline everytime I need a screenshot. I have tried various things like `system("date +%y%m%d")`.png but that does not work for me.
I also tried this
$HIP/flipbook/$HIPNAME.$OS.`pythonexprs("str(__import__('datetime').datetime.now().strftime('%Y%m%d_%H%M%S'))")`.$F4.png

but it does not work
