Vellum Grain: Control the Particle Size (random)?

Hi!
I'm trying to have particles of different sizes. I tried using a wrangle to modify the pscale but the solver doesn't like it...
Any tips?

try unchecking Advanced/Grain Collisions/Assume Uniform Radius
