Hi all I have been trying to follow the vop video from the blog

http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=569&Itemid=216 [sidefx.com]

I understand things have changed with v9 with the workflow. Am I correct in thinking now all I need to do is pipe a grid into a vop SOP and then dive into the vex builder ? Is this the correct direction ?
Of note though trying to follow the tutorial all I get is this error. (below) which I am not sure about at all.

just from your picture there, it looks like you haven't piped anything into your displace along normal “N” or “P” slot. I think that's why there is an error there.

what should I be putting in P / N ? I thought the noise would get its position from the P value global varibles. Which is looking at every point on the grid.I then plug the noise into the amount value for the displacement.

Has anyone had any success with this ?

I too have the same problem. I believe this is a bug.

Judging from the picture above the error is actually a warning which means the VEX code should operate correctly.

If you don't want the warning just change the compiler command from ‘vcc -q …’ to ‘vcc -Q …’
if(coffees<2,round(float),float)
