Hello,

How can I configure a lens/window shift on my camera in Solaris/Karma XPU? Im not sure the best terminology as it can be named differently in different softwares. The idea is the camera stays where it is, but the capture region is shifted with the relative perspective preserved.

E.G. I set up a camera in obj context, it has a Screen Window X/Y offset along Y, and I would like to setup the same camera configuration in solaris/karma. I used sceneImportCameras to get the camera in, it looks correct in Houdini VK render view, but in Karma XPU/CPU mode, the Y offset seems to break, scene contents seem to shift opposite to the Y offset relative to the view.

Thank you,
Nik

I see if I make a camera in Solaris, its just a matter of setting view > aperture > offsets to do the shift. It must just be an issue with how I am importing the camera from OBJ context. I will just rebuild the camera from scratch in solaris. If I try to adjust that setting on the imported camera it doesnt seem to do anything, but as demonstrated I am not very experienced working with Solaris.

ok, I was wrong, this was all based on viewport VK mode, as soon as I switch to KarmaXPU view, everything shifts and changes. I dont know whats going on.

Film offset seems to be working for me when set up with a camera in Solaris. Showing consistently in vk, xpu and cpu.
Houdini 22.0.467 / Windows 11.
