Hi there!
I've been running some test to try to emulate some basic hair dynamic using chops… I have copied a 4 point nurbs line around a sphere (like some hair guides).
First test I did was actually simple…I created a group which was selecting only the end point of every hair copy. Plugged in a channel sop to lag the motion of the end point and it worked just fine, it could be used for simple hair jiggle effect….
I'd like to make thing more complex…Now I made a group that contains all hair points except the root. In chops I'd like to be able to add a a gradual time shift effect on each hair, so that hair points that are closer to the roots have less time offset than the ones that are further.
This would actually make more a kind of long hair in the water kind of effect…
Is the question clear? I included my scene to this post so you guys have a better idea…
Thanks! I hope some of you have the solution I'm looking for!

wow, that's exactly it!
Great, I love the way you use the ramp for controlling the weight…
The only draw back I'd say would be that the ramp bias control is a bit limited, it doesn't seem to have the same flexibity as a real curve in the channel editor, to have more control over the falloff…Would it be possible to the same thing but using the a motion curve? or using another vopsop trick?
Maybe using another channel chop instead of the ramp/vopsop to drive the weight?
Thanks alot Tamte!!
