I got an email from the company saying:

It has been about a month since testing began and the H10 license you have been using is about to expire. If you would like to continue testing H10 please upgrade your license here…

Here's my problem with this… Houdini NEVER worked for me. Not on my mac. Not on my friend's mac. Not on any of the 3 mac towers I tried at an art college. I basically gave up.

It feels ultra hurtful that I am now being asked to dish out additional money to just retain the license I bought for 100 that didn't get anything accomplished for me yet!

I understand that it just came out for mac - and the problems are to be expected - but maybe at least let me keep my license that I paid for and not take it away? So I could have a chance to review the software in a month or two when I get a new computer?

Grumble,

Zebbler

PS - how much time do I have to upgrade anyway before my license stops working?

If you paid the $100 for ApprenticeHD then it will be for a 9.5 licence with an additional 10 licence thrown in for beta testing.

You can verify this with the licence administrator

You only need to pay more if you want to upgrade to a newer version. Your licence for 10 will expire, but your 9.5 licence will still be valid.
