Do we have a modelling tool that will clean up nasty triangles into quads. ?

We do but not for the current release.

You mean it will be available in version 10+ only?! If I were to “quadify” a whole bunch of polys now, what would be the preferable way then?

It won't appear in H10 as far as I know - it is not SESI's code.
Currently it is compiled for H9.1 so you have two options, downgrade to that version or if you desperatetely need it for the current one compile it yourself. roll
