Hi,

I want to share my thesis on Houdini fluids as it might be an interesting read for people that want to get a better understanding about what is going on under the hood.

The thesis is about “Controlling fluid simulations with custom field in Houdini”.

I will probably post that tool on the exchange, but I have been optimizing it a bit more first as I found how to get vector volume fields straight out of a volume vop in sops. Sometimes there are these really tiny little gotcha's in Houdini that can catch you out. It makes sense in the end, but whilst looking it can take a while .

Have fun playing with it in the meantime!
