Hi, i'm tring houdini and want to make a rectangle spot light with non square ratio. Is it a solution to make it ?
In fact, i want to make a videoprojector and actually i have a spot light but the map projected is always square. I tested change scale inside Light by changing xform scale but only icon light change, without effect on render.

Thanks a lot for your help.

parent your light under the null object and scale the null
just make sure the light has no offset from null and is fully aligned with it

Possible, Texture projection has a common set of parameters with shadow map, since they both use NDC space of light. Projection, resolution and fov are some of these settings. You can either set shadow map resolution in a standard light (temporarily turning on shadows map mode), or use light template and install these parameters from gear icon -> edit rendering parameters (and use vex asad light shader for projection).

I come back to this post with a relationship question:
Is there a solution to see in the viewport the ratio ?
Renders are fines but in the viewport, previews are still in ratio 1:1.

Thanks in advance.

I'm also curious if there is a way to preview the light projection with a rectangular aspect ratio in the viewport. This would be handy.
