Is there any way to do this easily. So I can place a point at the centre of numbed group of points.

Solved >

Add sop , delete everything but the points > polygon tab > select by group > group , select your group of points > set add to “ each group separately ”

Add sop = Swiss army knife

good Idea….

I take a Transform-Sop Pivot to $CEX, $CEY, $CEZ and scale it by 0 and append a facet sop to put all point to one;o) quick but dirty.

One more way..
$GCX , $GCY , $GCZ gives the centroid coordinates of the group
