I just purchased Houdini Indie and I most certainly would like to thank Side Effects for the opportunity to learn such an impressive program!
Wondering if I downloaded the right version? I bought Houdini Indie but it says Apprentice at the top of my Houdini window. Is that supposed to happen?

No need to worry about having the right version, all Houdini downloads come with the full commercial as well as Indie and Apprentice versions. Check out your Houdini program folder - on a Mac it would be /Applications/Houdini 13.x.x and I believe on Windows it would be C:\Program Files\Side Effects and then the Houdini folder. You should find separate executable links for all the different versions there.
Thank you taking the time to reply and for your assurance on the versions. I am the lucky soul whose client will be eventually buying me the full version. Now I have to earn that privilege by learning the program!
