I'm attemptig to duplicate half of a model along the x axis and I would like to make sure that all of the points that lie on the center line of the model fall at zero in x. I'm attempting to translate them with and edit OP and snap them to either the z axis in the top view or the y axis in the front view and I can't get them there. I've tried all of the snapping options, but no matter what I do, the snapping gravity won't set it right on the axis. Any Ideas?

Thanks

Hi there,

Select the points that you want to move to x=0 then turn on the Construction Plane. Now, hold down c+x which will align the Construction Plane to the X axis or Right+click+hold on the Construction Plane in the viewport & select "Center c-plane around world X axis“ from the pop-up menu.

Next, Ctrl+RMB in the viewport & select ”Flatten selection to c-plane“ and that should do the trick.

Tip: If you turn on the Construction Plane, the points you create will snap to it thus removing the need for ”flatten selection" later.

I hope the above helps!

Cheers!
