I noticed the Extrude sop is now 'Extrude OLD'. What is the new version ?

The option to use a curve as an x-section profile is useful. I hope SESI isn't planning to deprecate it

I meant using another curve to define the profile shape of the extrude. The poly extrude can control the profile via a ramp but it doesn't give predictable results.

I hope to see a combination of the old and the new node eventually with a proper extrude along curve function (not a straight extrude with an applied deformation) and a profile curve.

I know this is on SESI's radar as the new polyExtrude is still missing several features that can only be done with the old Extrude SOP. I have a few RFEs in for this

If not for your video, I wouldn't even have bothered opening the extrude sop and seen its benefits !!

P.S. : “very cool” ;D
