Hey guys,
I am new to Houdini, and am very excited about its capabilities.
I am following the crowd simulation tutorial off pluralsight/Digital Tutors, but i have run into a problem when attempting to scale down the imported fbx character. The tutorial suggests that I simply connect a null at the top of the joint/bone hierarchy, (which is the hip null), set it to 0.1 and the character will scale down. However, the results that I am getting is just the hip null shrinking down. I should mention that the tutorial is from H15, and I am using H16, but i cannot imagine that something as basic as this has been somehow redirected.

Appreciate your help.

Have you tried just using the Uniform Scale at the top level of the FBX subnet? Once you set the scale make sure to re-bake your agent clip.

There is also a Scale slider on the crowdsource node inside the crowdsource node for overall per-agent sizing. Geez SideFX two nodes named the same thing in different contexts? (you could have made this a little clearer).

Scaling a null at the top of the hierarchy should work. I'm guessing that the agent clip wasn't rebaked.

Or better yet, use Direct FBX Import on the Agent SOP and scale it on crowdsource instead.

Ah, well, .clip files even after they're baked, don't get reloaded unless you press the Reload button.
