Hello one question please… I'm exporting cloth simulations for UE4 using the Vertex Animation Textures tools the animation works great but… I noticed that the exported FBX has the original UVs destroyed, is this a bug or am I doing something wrong ???
Strange. I don't know why it's trying to cook those if they're not connected. If you right click on the vertex_animation_textures node and choose “Allow editing of Contents”. Then delete both the mantra4 and mantra5 node as well as NORMAL_TEXTURE inside soft_obj that might fix it. I'll submit an update on GitHub once I've done some more testing.
Sorry for the delay, here's the hip file……hope it helps, by the way in the GitHub: - in the DEVELOPMENT branch the UV's are OK, but the Position and Normal Textures are bad - in the Houdini16 branch the UV's are Bad, but the Position and Normal Textures are OK.
There's something strange about your file. If I copy the nodes into a new Houdini file it exports fine. But for some reason, that I can't figure out, it fails in your original hip file. You can download the latest export node from the development branch and give it a go. Mike
