Hi there, i've recently tried to install Houdini but have come across some errors with the license.

Here is an imgur album of printscreens and descriptions of my problems, but i will post the images here anyway.


Opening up the “License Administrator” appears with this error, which i assume is a bug, as you can clearly see the version i opened should be the correct one. So i ignored this message.


I have already entered all my keys in, and for the latter 2 there are errors, which i hope shouldn't affect me as they “Installed successfully” in the initial run. The first key works though, which is surprising but i assume shouldn't matter, as it again is “Successful”.


After the key screen, i tried to open Houdini Apprentice, but this brings up the “License Administrator” again. As i've just entered my keys, i thought pressing the “Install” button would work, however it just brings me back to a license error again.

Could anyone advise me on what i have done wrong here? Thanks

Also, if i click on the “i have a paid houdini license”, it brings me back to the License Administrator window that is visible in the first image.

Thank you so much! It turns out i've been a bit of an idiot here.

Also for Apprentice install don't choose the License Server, use Local Licensing instead.

Initially i had selected “Commercial licensing” instead of “Apprentice Licensing”. My bad, completely missed it the first time round, so i uninstalled everything and installed it again.


After selecting the right install, and proceeded to open houdini apprentice finally got this exciting window
