While I don't speak for SESI, my guess would be “not right away”. Hardware cards for speeding up dynamic simulations are just entering the market, you have Ageia's along with NVidia and ATI pushing their GPUs as dynamics simulators. I think it would be best to hold off for a bit to see if which dynamics cards take hold in the market, and if so which one becomes dominate. It would be waste of resources and man hours to add support for the Ageia when in 6 months it might be a failed venture or outdone by another vendor.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if implenting a solver using the PhysX API wouldn't be too hard to do for someone interested in doing it. The opensource ODE (OpenDynamicsEngine) solver which was neatly put together over on odforce by Daniel Kramer would serve as a great starting point:http://odforce.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=3733 [odforce.net]
I might be wrong but doesn't the solver also work in software emulation mode? In other words implementing this as a DOPs Solver could still bring alternatives to people who don't have the hardware?
