Parametric Trees

Hello,

I have just started learning Houdini in order to create parametric assets for Unreal Engine. I'm currently wanting to make a parametric tree which once placed will take shape according to direction (trees grow towards south), height (smaller trees on mountains) and slope (roots and the base affected by the angle of the ground). Do you think this is possible (without spending a year doing it) and if so, know any examples of people doing similar things (doesn't need to be trees)?
