Hi!

I used a group promote sop to convert from point to edge group. The idea is to use this edge group to cut my UV seams. The problem is when I click on my converted group (“grouppromote_to_edges's Edge Selection”), it uses the point list to describe the group (p3448-3445-26738 p3445-3448…). And each time I use a different geo, I have to manually click on the drop down menu to access the converted group.

Is there a way around this problem?

It should work procedurally if you use the group name borderpt or am I misunderstanding the question?

Oh! I thought the group promote created the new edge group with that name and that the borderpt was a point group. My bad!
