Hey people,
So while the quality and speed of volumes really have improved drastically, I still can't see geometries shadows on / in the volumes.
Self shadowing is perfect, but despite the demo of Crag moving in some kind of mist I've been unable to replicate.
I tried boosting the volume quality up, converting my vdb back to a volume, point light, area light, spot light, assigning a shader, etc…
Is there something special to do ? Is it maybe only for RTXs or something ?
In the attachment below I think we can clearly see the sphere isn't casting any shadows on the volume, even if the volume has correct self-shadows.
