I have created an object that dissipates into smoke (Steven Knipping's course). I successfully cached the .bgeo.sc file and loaded it back into a new file and it looks fine. My goal is to get it into Maya. I assume the best way is by exporting as Alembic but the files I get are always empty. I just get the cameras and empty folders. Even when I right-click/export on the geos I get empty files.

I had read on the Arnold site that since they are volumes they need to be VDB files. It says to use ‘Convert VDB’ but I can't find anything like that in H17.5. I would think this would be pretty common procedure. Would appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction. Thanks. -Derryl
