How to Solaris?

Hello everyone. Complete Houdini/Solaris novice here, so bear with me if I speak nonsense

We've been trialing Maya alternatives for scene assembly, lighting and rendering over the last few years (Katana, Clarisse, Gaffer, pre-Solaris Houdini and probably a few more) and feel fairly confident at this point that Solaris could be the right option for us.

However, as we're slowly beginning to work out how to set up node graphs for actual production, a lot of questions come up about common practices and how others with more experience in Solaris handle this stuff.

So if anyone would be willing to share details or screenshots of scene graphs showing general structuring, shot branching and ‘Render Layers’ (pardon the Maya lingo), I'd be grateful.
