AMD Radeon ProRender: How to render RPR?

Dear fellow Houdinists,

I've been playing around with AMD Radeon ProRender and I'm getting quite pretty and quick results.

What bugs me though is that the plugin does not seem to be able to export to any standard image formats (EXR, PNG, …) but only "renders" out RPR-Files, which I believe are some kind of scene description files, much like USD but ProRender-Specific. Most tutorials and online resources point to cloud rendering, but I'd like to be able to render locally and ideally from within Houdini.

The official documentation [radeon-pro.github.io] states that you can use a command line script called RprsRender, but it does not appear to ship with the plugin and I also cannot find it on GitHub.

Is anybody using ProRender with Houdini and has a solution for local rendering? Many thanks for your insights.

All the best,
Remo
