Remesh Megascans Atlas to a simple grid/plane

As the title says. I am trying to make a tree made of Megascans assets, trunk and branches are done and now I am working with the leaves. The megascans plugin has a node that automatically splits the atlas for you which is actually very nice, you can see the result below but the problem is that this leaf is totally fine for offline rendering but definitely overkill for real time (UE4). I am surprised that the node doesn't have an option to reduce the vertex or primitive count since the only thing I want is a grid/plane.

I've tried using the remesh node but is not doing the job I expected to do.
