Hello,

I completed my first Houdini tutorial earlier this week - 'Interference Patterns' by Entagma, see: https://entagma.com/interference-patterns/. [entagma.com] I would like to develop this effect by importing my own vertical displacement or amplitude data into Houdini to influence the y (vertical) displacement of a grid. I've saved my MATLAB wave data as an .CSV file (with the same dimensions as my grid data) and used a 'tableimport' node to load this into my geometry spreadsheet.

How do I parent this imported data to influence the geometry of my grid? I've tried an 'attributetransfer' node and also referred back to the tutorial but I'm struggling.

In reference to the attachments, I would like the imported data from the 'amp' column to replace the 'P' column of the my grid data.

I understand this question is probably as trivial as asking an MS Paint artist where the paint bucket icon is, but this is the start of my long Houdini journey so any help appreciated.

Thank you!
