I am modeling metal clamps for a glass jar. They hold the lid and connect to metal the clamp of the jar itself.
It was no problem to model these in Blender simply using extrude to add new points and lines that connect to the rest, so that the following sweep is not interrupted.
Is there an easy way in Houdini I am not seeing?
I managed to add a line to the existing circle (from which I blasted a few points beforehand), but the sweep is interrupted that way, when I merge it with the existing circle.
I tried converting the circle to a bezier curve but do not know how to proceed from here.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Modeling in Houdini: Extruding points like in Blender?

Thanks again, Tomas!
For anyone else reading along: I will just redo the thing starting out with a bezier curve for maximum flexibility, expandability and round tube corners.
I was afraid of bezier curves for most of my life, but Houdini, "grid snapping" and the "a" key while doing the curve changed my life today.
Best regards
