Hi guys I have a problem. I am a noob and I followed the tutorial by Steven Knipping . I know as a beginner i shouldnt rush into simulations, I only continued his tutorial because of his in-depth graphical explanation of voxels, vectors and density so I figured I might as well go through the motion of his tutorial.

I just started using houdini a week ago only so please forgive me for being a noob, im trying.

So I did exactly what he did step by step, my turbulence from the pyrosolver somehow is not working.

Unless I tick the "visualize turbulence" checkbox. As you can see from the images theres no velocity in my nodeinfo.

I have to create a "gasturbulence" node(as seen in image and im pretty sure im doing it wrong), so that i can introduce turbulence to my smoke object.

All images are taken at frame 11 to ensure consistency. Anyone knows why? I'd love to know the logic behind. My density is present, my solver should be introducing turbulence into it but it somehow isnt unless i visualize the turbulence. I asked on fb group someone told me to try "advection input" which i then googled and youtube, woah its another whole new topic and theory about it and im not ready for it for now. I Just wanna know why isnt my pyrosolver working like it should since i followed node for node, step by step with his tutorial?

Anyway I thorougly went through each setting and realize checking "OpenGL" was the culprit. apparently it didnt manage to calculate the turbulence properly(?) I'm not sure. but unchecking OpenGL with everything else untouched, managed to make pyrosolvr's turbulence work for me
