Displacement not working correctly in Karma?

Hey Everyone,

I have a problem with Karma. I wanted to render a displacement map I created in COPs on a swept curve. But somehow my displacement is all warped and the resulting displacmenet looks ugly. I recreated a setup in SOPs where I used the same height map from COPs and displaced the points with VEX, and everything looks fine! It seems like the normals in Karma have a weird skew. Maybe you can tell from the screenshot, otherwise you can find the scene attached.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

PS: COPs is a dream to work with!

Running Windows 11, 20.5.278, Karma XPU + CPU tested

Have you tried increasing the Dicing? (rendertime subdivision per pixel)

Hey Danny,
Yes, I increased the dice scale to 3 with no noticeable difference...

Redicing production scenes can be quite expensive so Karma turns off IPR continuous dicing by default. The dicing is "locked off" the first render, and reused. If you turn on IPR Continous Dicing, karma will redice the scene as the camera moves (or you tumble around).
Is this what you're experiencing?

Hi mark,

Tested it out,

doesn't seem to be the problem.
