Hey All,
I have an install of Fedora 41 and Houdini 20.5.445. I can't seem to get the local help system to work properly.
Issues:
1) "Show Help Pane" brings up a blank pane with a yellow bar at the bottom of the pane. No URL.
2) When trying to "Load" or "Launch" an example file inside of Houdini, it says that file is missing "127.0.0.1:48626 says Error loading example: Not found"
Things I have tried, was a network engineer in past life :-)
1) Checked router, turned off any port forwarding.
2) Reset default browser app in Linux to Firefox. I use MS Edge.
3) Reset Houdini by deleting the user folder in $HOME
Things that work as expected:
1) Going out to an external site thru the help menu works. "Start Here", "Forums", "Content", etc...
Has anyone else experienced this?
Update: I started Houdini in terminal, and I am seeing this error when try and load the examples. See Attached.
I also made sure that the library was installed.

Yes, I have the same problem on Debian. With the internal Help Browser Tab, help web browser that ships with Houdini, and with example files.
The latter stopped working even on Firefox, perhaps since the release of 20.5 or maybe earlier. However, you can find example files on your file system in

HFS/houdini/help/examplespath and launch them manually. They're nicely structured and come with text files containing their description.
