Seen a lot of cg animals that spawn smoke recently and got inspired to work on my take on the subject.
I'm sourcing whole deer model as fuel and temperature, and then I'm sourcing only few selected points to spawn particles that get advected by the pyro sim. I've connected the particles by the ptnum of initial spawn point to create trails. I've also used volume trail to add smaller trails. Trees and ferns are placed procedurally on a strip of mesh that reveals only where camera follows.
