Anybody else have this "log-in" loop issue in the Houdini Launcher ( see attached pic )? The launcher prompt requiring a log-in blocks me from being able to click on the gear icon to sign in again. If I hit ok, it'll say "Logging in" next to the gear, then display my username and the log-in prompt pops up again, continuing the loop until I force quit.

I've also experienced this (though it was a while ago) and I think the solution was to just log out of sidefx.com and try again. Somehow it seemed to gotten into a bad authentication state since I was already logged in and it could not tell. Even reinstalling things didn't help and the only thing that fixed it was to log out so it could just log in again. Not sure why but that at least helped me.

I have an open bug for the issue:

My work around is to open hkey to force fetching credentials. I hold down the enter key while spam clicking on the launcher to dismiss the dialogs while navigating to open the license administrator. Once hkey refreshes the login, restarting the launcher should allow it to login again.

I have same problem here where I can't login anymore.
Once clicked on "log in" it well open my web browser and connection is correct but launcher are unable to stay connected and looping with "logging in.." and "log in" label near button.

Is there any workaround ? I can't success to make your hkey method work.

Today I got bitten by this again.

In my case the fix was to click on "Logout" on the web page that opens when clicking "Log In" in the Launcher.



After that I logged in in the Browser again and all of a sudden the Launcher worked again.

Logging out from the browser and then logging back in using the Launcher did the rick for me!

Thanks for posting the solution as I just seem to repeatedly get bitten in the ass by this at random intervals (usually when I want the latest studio version) …then the mischievous trickster launcher won’t let me have it! Believe me I love games, but I prefer to play them on my my Xbox! 😂 Tried this and it elegantly solved the issue instantly!
