Hey all
I've been using HQueue for a while now for all of my Houdini needs. My entire network is Linux based. My workstation is CachyOS currently and I have three additional Hqueue nodes that are running Ubuntu headless. I manage these via SSH.
I've got Nvidia setup on all of them properly. They work great for rendering Karma XPU, running Pyro sims, pop sims, flip sims, etc. However, I've just got a project using Vellum and I'm finding it just...doesn't work. It's very strange. Hqueue reports a successful sim. It writes files, but the files are always basically empty. They range from 3-7kb in size. If I try to write out the cache using the GUI on my workstation, it works fine.
I've tried vellumio file cache and a regular file cache. I tried it on multiple different machines. I even tried the hqueue render node in my ROP just for testing. It's not a pathing issue as other types of sims work fine to the same folders, and even if they didn't, Hqueue IS writing files, it just seems that vellum isn't actually solving. I'm out of ideas for what to try next.
Anyone else experience this?
