It is being a while after the wonderful Sidefx presentations on Siggraph and I am going to dare asking if there is any news on the release date of houdini 18?

H17 came out at the end of September if I remember correctly. I would expect a similar timeline for H18.

I liked it but found it too short. I expect them to do a full presentation because apparently H18 will be well worth it (just like H17.5 with PDG)

Metered hosted app where you per per minute, via an Electron client that's still somehow 2GB.
Or failing that: an integrated node-based version control system that you can't not use, written in Java.
