Houdini Engine Chaos Destruction HDA April 11, 2026, 10:26 a.m.
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a HDA, where you can determine the number of fragments, type of fracture (voronoi/ boolean) etc. Once it creates the geometry collection , it then crashes unreal every time I try to change the fracture type or the number of fragments.
I get this error: Assertion failed: NumTransforms == Transforms.Num()
I think that this is probably due to a mismatch in the number of pieces between the previous and updated geometry collection. Is there any way around this? I've attached the HDA.
Thanks

How to render splash with OceanSurface Shader? Nov. 29, 2019, 5:37 p.m.
Hi,
I've been playing around with oceans and flip, and I can't seem to figure out how to get nice refraction and transparency in the splashy area, it's all rendering with the colour and transparency of the deep ocean. It works nicely with the basic fluid shader, but with the fluid shader I'm unable use the ocean spectrum. Is there something that I'm doing wrong, or is this just how the oceansurface shader works.
Thanks a lot!
Josh

Ocean Foam Sop Camera Region Issue Nov. 11, 2019, 7:52 a.m.
Just in case anyone has a similar issue. I resolved it in the end by right clicking on the ocean foam sop, and allow editing of contents. Then inside the node put a Clean sop under ‘clip at near’.
