OpenCL Error Issue with Nvidia RTX 2060 Super Oct. 8, 2020, 10:51 a.m.

Hiya!

Hoping someone can help me solve this issue. Just ran into this error the other day when attempting to use OpenCL to run an explosion/pyro simulation. When I check the box for OpenCL in the advanced tab of the pyrosolver and then attempt to play the simulation through I'm given this error message:

OpenCL Exception: clEnqueueNDRangeKernel (-4)
OpenCL Exception: clEnqueueNDRangeKernel (-4)
OpenCL Context error: CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE error executing CL_COMMAND_NDRANGE_KERNEL on GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (Device 0).

OpenCL Exception: clEnqueueNDRangeKernel (-4)
OpenCL Exception: clEnqueueNDRangeKernel (-4)

This issue only just started occurring yesterday. I have been able to use OpenCL in other projects up to this point without error. Why am I running into this now?

Can anyone help?

Check the Support menu at the top of this page under system requirements. Make sure your computer is compatible with running the software.
Thank you for your reply! I just reviewed the system requirements for both Apple and Windows systems as I've tried it on both and it's given me the same result and my systems meet the system requirements laid out by Houdini. Any other thoughts?

Houdini Apprentice Experiencing Crash on Fluid Compress Sept. 11, 2020, 11:41 a.m.

Hiya!

Recently been working on learning fluids and the tutorial I have been following requires me to connect a DOP I/O node into a fluid compress node. Once the two are connected I go to enable the fluid compress. Upon enabling, Houdini crashes. This has happened every one of the four times I have tried it so far and is always at the step of enabling the fluid compress. Still quite new to Houdini so I am unsure of what the issue could possibly be but wondering if anyone here might be able to offer a pointer or help.

Cheers!
