This tutorial series „Houdini Practice Hour“ is meant for newbies in Houdini FX, who want to learn the basic tasks of modeling, uvs, shading, lighting and rendering on a project base in Houdini FX. I will explain to you step by step the workflows and tools, so you can follow along and then experiment for deepening your knowledge. Learning means „getting your hands dirty“. This series doesn’t give you the most effective, elegant or the "only right way", it’s concepted to give you a solid learning experience. 02_01 Banana - Making UVs in Houdini FX
In this tutorial we will unwrap the UVs of the banana, use uv layout and then export the object as FBX and OBJ.

02_02 Banana - Texture Painting in 3D Coat
In this tutorial we will bring our model to 3D Coat for Texture Painting and paint it in a stylized way.
After that we export the PBR maps back to Houdini FX and then set up an HDR Environment Light Setup.

02_03 Banana - Shading & Rendering in Houdini FX
In this tutorial we add a Principled Shader to the banana und load the texture maps we’ve made before.
Finally we render the result :-)
