I love to direct modeling. I'm still very new to Houdini. Sometimes I'll try procedural stuff but not great at it yet. I'm always nervous about the amount of nodes I have when I do direct. Seems people never have as many nodes as I do. Is this wrong? It makes me anxious? LOL

      Hi
First of all is not wrong to have more nodes. The node are just steps you have taken to reach where you are in what you are modeling.

The direct modeling course will teach you Houdini modeling tools in details which is the key to get less nodes in other words fewer steps to get the job done.
when you take the course and you get comfortable you will know the right tools to call and the right method to start a modeling depending on the Object you want to model.

The direct modeling course is deeper than just Houdini modeling tools it teaches you the relationship between the Object you modeling and the nodes network and also modeling technical aspect which helps you to work right and less.

Check the course out it will help improve your skills in Direct Modeling in Houdini
