A tutorial on using global illumination in Houdini's Mantra renderer. Covers ambient occlusion, full irradiance, path tracing and photon mapping.

NOTE THAT SOME OF THE WORKFLOW HERE HAS CHANGED SINCE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE NEW GI LIGHT IN HOUDINI 11 - AMBIENT OCCLUSION IS NOW A FEATURE OF THE ENVIRONMENT LIGHT, RATHER THAN THE GI LIGHT, FOR EXAMPLE. SEE THE LIGHTING IN H11 SERIES.
