In this course we will be creating a tool to generate facial motion capture from an image. This will be done within Houdini.

Generating motion from an image is a reasonably complex process but there are a number of libraries which can make this process easier. With the release of Houdini 18.5 these libraries have become accessible due to Python being updated to version 3.

We will use some open libraries to achieve the facial motion capture. These libraries are available under an Apache 2.0 license and can be used for commercial work. And they will give us a quick and easy way to implement image based motion capture in Houdini.

Requirements:
This course will be done in Windows. This should work for Mac and Linux but I will not be covering them.
We will need to install a compiler in this case I will be using Visual Studio.
The Python 3 version of Houdini is required and this will not work with Python 2.
