This video is an explanation on how to navigate the 3D viewport in Houdini, by panning, zooming in and out, and tumbling around in the 3D View window. There are also a few hotkeys covered that are useful for focusing in on a selected object or seeing all objects in the scene.

Hmm. Videos are hosted on Vimeo - they closed their service down and are out of business.

      Your thinking of Vidme :)
      Vimeo is still going strong.
I hate the player controls tho. skipping forward or back 10 sec with left and right arrow is so much more convenient on Youtube.
Plus if you scrub back a few sec by holding left arrow on vimeo, it sometimes doesnt play until u tap right arrow again. :/

The C key isn't invoking a radial menu. It's activating a snap tool instead. It's mentioned in the online doc these radial menus associate themselves to respective desktops. Specifically, it states "You can work with desktops using the >missing icon< desktops list pop-up menu at the top of the main window". There's an icon that isn't appearing when I copy and paste this statement from the online doc so please feel free to check out the first link below if you're curious about what it should look like. Anyway the invisible nature of this icon is consistent with the Houdini UI since it's not appearing anywhere in there as well. I don't see it in the above tutorial either.

Plan B: Main menu > Windows > Desktop > Model.
Back to the scene and hit the "c" key and A-Ha!... still nothing... well, the snap tool is still activating.

    Okay, what am I missing?

[SOLVED]. I don't know if the issue was caused by the version or if a simple reinstall would've helped, but I uninstalled v.15 and installed v.16 and the radial menu now appears. ~Cheers

    Great! Here's a summary:

    Esc: return to view tool
    Space/Alt/Option: temporary view tool
Space+F: zoom in on selected obj
    Space+A: show all objects
Space+H: home (either show all objects from home angle or home to construction grid)
Space+G: show selected obj from home angle
Space+Ctrl: Rotate cam on its Z axis
