The UT_Options data type now supports additional option types UT_OPTION_STRINGUTF8, UT_OPTION_STRINGRAWARRAY, and UT_OPTION_STRINGUTF8ARRAY. These new option types are simply strings and string arrays, but with dedicated code for generating string that can be interpreted by Python to generate Unicode strings matching the source. These new data types will only be used if explicitly requested, but if used they may generated JSON or other persistent files that cannot be read by earlier versions of Houdini. Houdini itself does not persist to disk any options using these new types.
